Across the UK there are a number of Gurdwara Matrimonial services that operate services for Single Sikh males and females that are looking to settle down in married life.
The majority of these Gurdwara Matrimonial services are delivered offline / in-person, so in order to view lists / profiles of Single Sikhs, including the profile photos you typically need to visit the Gurdwara during the operating hours of the matrimonials offices.
Gurdwara Matrimonial Services – COVID Impact
Due to the COVID pandemic and resulting lockdowns across the UK, the traditional Gurdwara matrimonial services have been severely hampered, making it difficult for Single Sikhs that are looking to get married to meet prospective partners. Recognising the difficulties that this was causing those that are looking to settle down we decided to accelerate the launch of SeekSikh. Furthermore, as we see this as sewa for the sangat (Sikh community), we decided to make this a completely FREE service.
Free Sikh Matrimonial Service – UK
The SeekSikh platform is wholly UK based and operated by a small group of British Sikh professionals that are volunteering their time and donating funds to get this seva project off the ground. It has been designed as a viable alternative to the traditional Sikh Matrimonial services that are operated in the UK by for example, Southall (SGSS), Gravesend Gurdwara, Slough Gurdwara and Hounslow Gurdwara.
Benefits of using SeekSikh for Single Sikhs
Despite being a completely FREE Sikh Matrimony platform, we have tried to ensure that it is as fully featured as possible for this first phase and that members feel safe. Here are some of the things that we have implemented on the site:
Verified Single Sikhs
All new members MUST submit their ID to the Admin team, and all registration requests require manual approval by site admin before they can view or contact others.
Member Chat
SeekSikh incorporates a fully featured private messaging system that enables members to converse with others. The system also provides the ability to block and report others.
UK Sikh Matrimonial
All of the admin team for SeekSikh are UK based and so is the website! The hosting provider we use has it's main data centre in the UK. Note that we do not share your data with third parties.
